I am going to begin tutoring an ESL/EFL student next week. The focus of this, as set by the parents, is for him to pass the SSAT and TOEFL after about a year or two years so he can go to high school at a boarding school in the US.
I didn’t even know what the SSAT was until a couple weeks ago. So could anyone give me some tips, good websites, or book/study guide suggestions?
He needs to get a 2200 on the SSAT.

That’s what is great about creative writing, you only have one rule; anything goes. Basically the only requirement is to figure out how you’re going to write the next great novel, are you going to draft it out via outline, brainstorm, or just go with the flow.
I like writing on the fly, I just open up a Microsoft word document and…

When I first became a trainer many years ago, I worked myself up about whether my trainees were learning anything useful, whether I was using the right approach, and so on. And these were fair questions to ask, as any trainer worth their salt will reflect critically on their own practice. After working with a number of organizations as both an internal trainer and external consultant, I began to condense all of the lessons I learned along the way into the five “rights” of training.
I see these “rights” as the basic requirements that need to be satisfied for a training…

Many of the students of Italian, especially the beginner’s have a tendency to stick with what they are familiar with. Once the beginners learn the three modal verbs, which include potere, which means to be able to or can, they will then come up with many sentences beginning with the word “Posse….? attempting to sound tactful, when the verb riuscire, which means to succeed, to manage, to be able, is a more accurate verb. This is a quirk which will identify the speaker as a person for whom English is their madrelingua meaning native tongue.
For those students who are studying…

Well, to start with we need to define what a good school of English is; to me it is a school that has everything that I need, good teachers, good prices, but what is good teacher, and what is a good price, well I might be able to know what I want and therefore define what is good for me, but what happens with another person, maybe what is good for me is not good for them and what is good for them is not for me.

As an English speaker, learning French is one of the most difficult things you will do in your entire life. If you are a native Spanish speaker, it will be much easier though.
French is the second most difficult language in the world after Arabic, and if you want to become fluent, you need to plan ahead and arm yourself with courage, patience and determination.
If you are doing it for fun or because you love the language of romance, it will become easy after a while since you are doing something you are dreaming about.
On the other hand, if you are…
