Comparative to other professions, they do very little work and results would seem to indicate that many do it badly. Some fail to teach basic numeracy and literacy and then complain they don’t get paid enough and demand a pay rise.
They work the shortest hours of any profession. and get approximately 13 weeks unofficial holiday a year and then complain about being overworked.

There are some good teachers out there, but some of them need to get a job in the real world to find out what hard work truly is.

How can I get White ESL Teachers?

Comment 5 Comments Category
Tags

Our school in China needs 6 White ESL teachers (Canadians, Americans, Autralians or Britons) But I’m finding it hard to get hold of them. I placed an advert but I don’t get the kind of people I want. I need just white teachers. Graduates or undergraduates are ok, but those with teaching experience are better.
Ok. Native English Speakers. But the students and parents want just whites. That’s the problem.

Can certified EFL/ESL teachers work in any EU countries with just an American passport?

I am currently teaching abroad but wanted to change to a European country. It seems like only EU passport holders are welcome to apply? Is this true for all of Europe and all types of schools? Is there any way around it?

Please share your joys and concerns (risks).

I have dual undergraduate degrees and my MA is in higher ed, but no TESL or teaching or English degrees. How much would getting the MA in TESL help?

Which countries offer the best situations or what are the pros and cons of the country in which you work?
