I am an atheist, but I am also a realist. And realistically, I live in a very theistic world.
My question is, when and how do I teach my children the stories of the Bible so that they don’t believe them as literal or spiritual truth (many are still good morality tales), but so that they do understand the cultural references that surround them in this society?

Autistic children and adults have deficits in social cognition, which means they lack the ability to think in terms that are appropriate where social interactions are necessary.
