Phil Orr, a librarian at USI’s Rice Library, shows media studies students how to explore the Internet for foreign television programs. In part two, he shows “doctortew” how to use the website Wikipedia. The explanation was filmed by Chad Tew, a journalism professor, for an assignment in his course “Introduction to Mass Communication” that is taught at the University of Southern Indiana. In the assignment, students adapt a foreign TV program for a US and international audience. Their mission: To create a sales pitch that reduces the distributor’s uncertainty.
