True or False?…..First to get all right will get 10 points….This is for people who have nothing to do….
1.Just as you can learn to drive a car without knowing much about car engines, you can learn to use a computer without understanding the technical details of how a computer works.
2.Computer literacy is the knowing about and understanding computers and their uses.
3.A computer does not always do whatever the instructions, or program, tell it to do.
4.Information processing is a vital activity today because the success of many businesses depends heavily on the wise use of information.
5.The slide rule is considered…

People often ask, what’s the best way to treat drug addiction, eating disorders, depression and anxiety etc – is it medication, or is it talking therapy – or both?
You obviously need *some* level of language skill to be able to use cognitive therapy at all – and the more intelligent you are, the stronger your language skills will be.
But on the other hand, if you develop an illness that makes you paranoid, then the more intelligent you are, the more likely you are to come up with really wacky complicated conspiracy theories, which other people will find it hard to…

I put [] around the part that says, “no substantial part of the activities of which is carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting, to influence legislation” in the official IRS statement.
From the IRS on the tax exempt status of organizations.
Section 501(c)(3) describes corporations, and any community chest, fund, or foundation, organized and operated exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, testing for public safety, literacy, or educational purposes, or to foster national or international amateur sports competition (but only if no part of its activities involve the provision of athletic facilities or equipment), or for the prevention of cruelty to children or…

Enough already! How many languages should we be expected to speak in America? And, how many languages should our government and other institutions, such as hospitals and schools, be required to accommodate? The problem is not just Spanish speakers. It’s the 322 tongues that are spoken in America today.
I ran the local hospital in the late 1980s and early 90s, and we were required to have translators available for about 16 different languages at that time. You may wonder how on earth could we do that in an area that had a population of less than 20,000 people at…

If that is the case, are they also OK with the idea of masses of illiterate poor people casting votes? Remember, literacy tests at polling places were ruled unconstitutional, and people’s political opinions are often based on what they have read.

Apparently Ron Paul supporters are the only people in the world capable of logging on to the internet. Yep, it seems that all the other candidates people just can’t seem to vote on internet polls giving Paul supporters free reign to “cheat” on these polls. A new grass roots effort is underway to teach computer literacy 101 at future campaign rallies. (prerequisite is LITERACY 101) Until then we will have to rely on that pillar of honesty, CNN.
