Why or why not?
I don’t see a compelling reason.
1.) One only needs to the most basic literacy skills to drive in the first place.
2.) It isn’t an undue burden to print the written exam in several languages.
3.) If the applicant wishes to provide a translator at his or her own expense for the road test, I see no problem.

I am already an elementary school teacher with a master’s degree in reading and literacy. I am in the process of learning Spanish through Rosetta Stone, and have taken it in high school and a basic college course last year just for extra practice. But, I want to be able to tutor and/or teach Spanish, too. Do I need another degree, another masters, just a certificate, etc?

So many of them now read for recreation! They are proud of their accomplishments. I want to apply for a reading teacher position in a public school, but the principal made it clear she is looking only for candidates that are currently reading teachers. I’ve been formally trained in literacy programs, but never work exclusively as a reading teacher.Would I be wasting my…
