Doesn’t it seem weird to you that your gods would have their “messages” written down in books/scrolls during time periods when social literacy was almost non existent?

Ive read half the books of the Rich Dad series so please list others.
i’d like to hold a book drive at school where kids can bring in their gently used books from home… but where could i send them after they’re collected. i’d like to make the month of may be about promoting literacy..so i’d like the books to be given out to children in need. i cant ship them cuz that would cost money so i’d like something local. something in boise idaho or around there would be nice. i looked at the operation wishbook but it says only new books. anyone have any ideas?
I work at a health department in Kentucky, and we would like to give books out to children when they come for services to help promote literacy. Where would be a good place to find this information?
