I’ve thought about going to grad school to get a master’s degree, so I can teach ESL to adults. However, someone suggested to me that I might not be able to find a position in which I would be teaching adults, and that I may have to apply for positions in which I would be teaching children. I don’t want to teach kids or teens, though, so would it really be a good idea for me to pursue this?

If I were a university President, I…
Hi,
I am from Turkey. Like most of the developing countries, lots of adults can read but are not interested in regular reading. Book publishing rates are low and the variety is limited. There aren’t many public libraries either.
Most of the international or local organizations, rightly, focus on children literacy. I wonder if there are organizations (profit or non-profit) who focus on this issue and come up with products/services?

I’m looking for a charity to see about joining or donating something to, but I’d like it to be a charity that encourages literacy in all ages.
