Why can’t everyone get education?

Why can’t the govt. give education to all if it can remove world-poverty? An estimated $30b only are needed for global literacy and education whereas more that $1 Trillion have been spent on wars and on buying billions in weapons in the name of public-security. Why? Is this the proper utilization of public funds? Why do we need such govts?

How to make literacy fun?

This is extended education time, after school, for children with need of extra help in literacy and numeracy. Bearing in mind that they have been in school all day and finding much of the work quite difficult, I wondered if anyone had suggestions how to make this time both interesting and worthwhile. Obviously, I have I.E.Ps but want to ensure that the kids are going to enjoy this time and not just feel they have more work at the end of the day. All helpful suggestions welcomed.

I want to make people computer literate in my area?
So, i want to make a advertisement to make them aware about the computer literacy rate in India and how it is going to effect after 10 year as in every sector, the knowledge of computer will be must? Say – in education, business, entertainment, shoping, marketing, banking and so on……..

Would it be smart to choose science as an area of concentration if I want to master in literacy education? Or should I choose English.
I am majoring in education. But my concentration is science. Should I choose English as a concentration instead?

Why are there no education opportunities for Americans?

I don’t really see how its fair for Americans not to have education. The government can spend so much money on warfare but won’t educate their people. Coming from the UK, we find that education is a very important aspect of society. I saw a TV report about American literacy rates and only 1/5 Americans can read.
Isn’t it funny – I’m referring to the reply by the American. My penile length is actually irrelevant. But to let you know it is more than big enough. Either way that comment proves the amount of ignorance in the American society.
