Our philanthropy is literacy, mostly with children, but we wanted to reach out and do something with the elderly in the nursing home. It doesn’t have to involve reading, but we would like it to. I know that we might could set apart an hour to read small books to the patients who have bad eyes, like one on one, but what is an activity that we can do together as a group? I’ll take any ideas, literacy related or not.

(Very long Q, my apologies, please spare yourself the trouble of reading it if uninterested. There is NO requirement to read this question nor answer it. There are lots of other questions you can move onto).
How can this user “Jenn” know that my interpretation is unequivocally wrong? Most preeminent modern Feminists (here modern simply means contemporary) can’t seem to arrive at a consensus of what Feminism is all about. Despite what some may think, e.g. Wendy G, I am an avid reader. (Wendy has on multiple occasions questioned my profession/credentials, my literacy and any number of things, but I have,…

The criteria necessary for evaluating a field site trip is Preparing for the field site trip. When preparing for a field site trip, the children can think about, discuss, and record what they think they will see, which questions they may be able to ask, who they may talk to and what they might bring back to the classroom. A Field site trip may not mean leaving the school but sometimes involves leaving the classroom to investigate some part of the environment more closely.
The class can go to a site which gives them chances to see objects, plants, animals, vehicles,…

At the end of the year I would have the classes project hard bound for each of them. A lasting memory and quite the intro to a letter of recommendation! There would be one textbook version written by each class.
Students would be required to volunteer to write their chapter(s). First drafts wouldn’t be…
