I’m really starting to think so. The majority of people I find online don’t seem to know how to spell, check their grammar, or write at all. You can still usually understand them, but the fact I need to bother deciphering their branch of language is starting to give me a headache. I’m not accusing anyone of perfection, we all make mistakes and typos, but sometimes it’s ridiculous – “ill b rt thier”, “c u 2nit”, excetera. Abbreviations, when overused, are almost a scourge to the English language.
OVERALL, do you think the internet is fostering illiteracy (especially in North America)? Why or why not?

are they a thing of the past or still a very prevalent fact …in spite of being one of the original inhabitants of the land that boasts itself of prosperity & advancement in almost every field. More so, now that we see that even the negroes who landed in the land mostly as slaves have the privilege to rise to the highest office in the country & well honored by world at large.
