I am recent high school graduate, and have just returned from teaching English in Brazil for the summer as a volunteer. Now that I am home the pressure is on to figure out where I am going to college. My original top three choices have all accepted me.. but now I find myself leaning toward the college that I visited while I was in Brazil. I want to go into secondary education with an esl minor. The goal is to eventually be teaching english to exchange students who are in highschool. The problem is, even though I speak some portugese,…
I love helping ESL students improve their English and I want to start netting students, but firstly, I need to figure out how to let them know that. Are there websites where ESL students go to find tutors?
I was just wondering if there’s anyone out there who has delt with unprofessional esl recruiting agencies-whether it be a representative who has simply ignored your email/application, or someone who has just generally given you rotten service. I would like to know which agencies I should avoid. I’ve had a few bad experiences already and don’t want to waste my time dealing with idiots.
ESL is abbreviation for English as a Second Language and EFL is abbreviation for English as a Foreign Language.
How (BESIDES AS AN ESL TEACHER) would you structure a one-day-a-week English teaching position? I need to work either 2 mornings or one full day a week. I have no idea how my school would do this, but I thought I’d float it out there, in case you work p-t or know anyone p-t with this schedule. Thanks!
I am a ESL 4 student now. I want to read more to improve my English. However, some of reading are too hard for me. They just make me bored and nothing more. Therefore, I wonder some novels (for documents download or books ) with a simple English for ESL learner.
Hi. My esl students are very smart; however there conversation skills are not where I want them to be. Do you know of any ESL Conversation Games to help me with this situation?
In which country can a qualified person earn the highest salary for teaching ESL? How much is it? Can you direct me to a web site?
I am looking for schools in an area that offer an ESL program (English as a Second Language) and wondering if there is a good place that would list these.
