If so, would you enroll your 4-6 year old into a pre-k program (2-3 hours a day) that focuses on literacy, math and classroom procedures. (the skills on the entrance exam)
Please, I want to know what you would do…not what I should do. It isn’t about me personally.
Thanks everyone!! The question wasn’t about me personally. I have a few co-workers we think parents will buy into this type of program…I tried to tell them it wouldn’t fly. Thanks…

Remember that 50 years ago you didn’t need a college degree (debt) to obtain an entry level job, the money that you spent was recycled into your community (not sent off to China (communist)by way of Wal Mart), your children would have been educated in the best school system in the world (now 19th, 55th in literacy), there were no speeding tickets, booming economy, the wealthy paid taxes, income equality existed(gini index was 55 now 75 now we mirror Russia, Mexico, Brazil). Nobody was afraid of terrorist.

Africa has one of the highest number of illiterates. A local organization is championing the mass literacy campaign and are in dire need of aids and donations to sponsor orphans and homeless children in primary and secondary schools and basic career training institutes.
Thanks for your answers but I mean organizations that want to donate stuffs or want to boost their image by making a mark in Africa which has the lowest living condition in the whole wide world.

What is with you people? The more questions I read, the more ridiculous the spelling and grammar mistakes get.
I can understand that some people are struggling with English as their second language, but that can’t be the problem with everyone.
Do our schools no longer teach the value of the English language? Is texting becoming a problem for the literacy of our children? Are video games and movies replacing reading to the detriment of our society?
As far as I’m concerned, all of the above are true, but I’d like to know what others have to say.

I have a job that I want more than anything. (Adult literacy coordinator for state of PA). I have experience in this field however it is 5 and more years ago (1992-1997 and then May 2000 to December 2002) . I want to get this pertinent job information to stand out on a resume. It is 8 years of adult and young adult and children’s literacy work.
How do I get this information to stand out since I have clearly worked other jobs since 2002?
Thanks everyone.
