If you’re a teacher, you could try contacting Cynthia Lewis (the researcher in the video).
Where can we find out more about how the curriculum or learning outcomes are being expressed via twitter and Facebook activities? What are the kinds of activities which are being used? But, overall, great approach!

This sounds really exciting. Student engagement with course material is vital to learning. How many classes are using this approach now? How are the students doing in their classes that do not use twitter? What are the challenges in using this kind of approach? “Doc A”
Haha, that’s exactly what i thought … look at all those macbooks! :)
Hmmm, no wonder incoming college freshman can’t read.
Seriously; there was a time (10 years ago) when the better mathematics students had no trouble reading and understanding an applications problem. Now, very few of them can, including those who can actually do the mathematics.
IntelligentCreature: since when has the students learning anything counted?
Twitter and Mac Books are all well and good, but it’s what we LEARN that is important. We are learning about all kinds of technology as well as all the other stuff that everyone else thinks is so cool. We are a school, a giant pool of information, that works together to create awesome stuff.
Great Project Minneapolis Students, Well done!
I’m doing really similar things (Podcasting for oral fluency, social science videos for motivation and expressing our thoughts, Twitter for E-Twinning etc.)
It too has proved to be really popular. with my students. Feel free to drop by our wiki sometime to check out what we’re up to.
Best of Luck,
Mr S. Dickens.

We’re using Twitter @gradeguru to provide notes for college students.
Mother Nature’s falling down, falling down…
Taking education to “where kids live” is a great idea, and seems to make so much sense. Wonder why more teachers haven’t gotten on the bandwagon?!
That is awesome….Engagement is happening…

Brilliant! Smart teacher.
I saw some students using Edmodo as well, which is another great tool for classroom use.
Awesome stuff. Don’t forget EDMODO at 0:37 and 1:53, another great web application for the classroom!
awesome… I like the laptop bank in the classroom… want to know more! It’s about time that teachers stopped living in the seventies and joined the digital information age. Get the kids skilled in the skills they need. typing… information technology… etc
