I do volunteer work for a nonprofit literacy organization. I want to do a slideshow showing the faces of the children who benefit from the group’s work…but I need songs that are hopeful, optimistic (and maybe even about children specificially) to accompany the visuals. It would be great if the song(s) were touching and evocative, hopefully to inspire people to get involved. Help! Here’s the group, by the way: http://www.spreadthewordnevada.org.

whitney houston – the greatest love of all
“I believe that children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier”
No Cars Go- Arcade Fire.

Invisible Children uses it in a lot of their videos. Very emotion-provoking song.
(ha, just kidding with the first title I posted. )
We know a place where no planes go
We know a place where no ships go
(Hey!) No cars go
(Hey!) No cars go
Where we know
We know a place no space ships go
We know a place where no subs go
(Hey!) No cars go
(Hey!) No cars go
Where we know
(Hey!)
(Hey!)
(Mom, Dad!)
(No go!)
(Hey!) Us kids know
(Hey!) No cars go
Where we know
Between the click of the light and the start of the dream
