I am already an elementary school teacher with a master’s degree in reading and literacy. I am in the process of learning Spanish through Rosetta Stone, and have taken it in high school and a basic college course last year just for extra practice. But, I want to be able to tutor and/or teach Spanish, too. Do I need another degree, another masters, just a certificate, etc?

I taught a bilingual (English-Spanish) class in New Mexico. My degree was in History (major) and Spanish (minor) and all I had to do was pass the four skills exam to be able to teach in this area. Also I didn’t have a degree in education, but I passed the exam and received a waiver which allowed me to teach.
